Our Story

SayHired is a privately funded startup based in Mountain View and was born out of the founders' frustration with the hassles and high costs of recruiting job candidates. We have all experienced multiple rounds of searching, screening, interviewing, rejecting, and accepting candidates. As we met amidst the excitement and energy of the Startup Weekend in San Francisco, we realized that together we can save other companies time and money by building a transformational recruiting automation company.

Currently, SayHired offers the world's easiest way to phone screen job candidates. Our system automatically phone screens candidates without a recruiter ever having to pick up a telephone. It's simple: an employer creates a job through SayHired, candidates apply to the job, take an automated phone screen with questions that either the employer chooses or that SayHired provides, and the employer gets access to the audio recordings of the screens as soon as they are complete. No more wasting time with candidates that look great on paper but are terrible on the phone.

We also offer employers and recruiters the ability to use SayHired to automatically conduct reference checks, thus taking away the pain of having to manually schedule reference checks with people that are difficult to get a hold of.

Our Team

GUY HIRSCH

Chief Executive Officer

Guy started his first company during the first year of Law and BA studies at IDC to provide performance-based recovery of expropriated real estate. Two years later, he started his second company, Patus, a Homeland Security company. Guy and his partners grew the company to worldwide distribution and sales. After selling Patus in 2005, Guy was called by a venture capitalist to co-found Vestopia, an online investment platform for revolutionizing the way retail investors invest. Guy grew the company from concept to sales, led multi-million dollar venture capital deals from prominent firms, and brought on board an exceptional team, including former presidents and CEOs of the largest retail investing and membership corporations in the U.S. SayHired is a direct outcome of these ventures, as innovation aimed at the stagnant markets and business models has been Guy's main focus and source of enjoyment.

MARIYA GENZEL

Chief Technical Officer

Mariya's background includes building great products at five startups, two dynamic companies, one huge and static company, and multiple non-profit projects in fields as diverse as e-commerce, digital music, e-government, online recruiting, online travel (and even Hubble Telescope's STSCI). She loves creating great products and processes that help make people's lives easier, and brings her extensive product management and development experience into the SayHired team. She got her feet wet in such notable companies as Amazon, CDnow, and Half.com. Mariya received her MBA from MIT Sloan and BA in Computer Science and Mathematics from Goucher College.
